Dental Insurance

As a service to our patients, we file your insurance for each visit. In most cases we file electronically so you do not have to do any paperwork (see section on e-claims).

If the fee for our service is less than $200., we collect payment at the time of service and the insurance reimbursement comes directly to you.

If the fee for your dentistry is more than $200., we collect one-third of the total fee, and the insurance benefit is assigned to our office. When the benefit is paid – usually in three to four weeks – we credit your account and bill the balance due or send a refund check to you.

Please note: We are not an insurance-driven practice. We do not belong to any DMOs or PPOs. As a service to our patients, we use our expertise in dentistry to get the most benefit their plan allows. When we examine a person and recommend treatment, it is based on what the patient needs or desires, not what insurance will or will not pay for. Not surprisingly, insurance companies do not care if your teeth are healthy or look good! We do, and your health and experience with us is our primary focus.
